The 6th edition of this festival was hold from 21-27 May 2011, in Dsegh village of Lori region, the native village of the greatest Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. The idea of the Festival was generated and implemented by the Armenian Center of the International Union of Puppeteers – UNIMA-Armenia – to promote versatile aestetic education and harmonious development of the younger generation. The festival’s art director is Armen Safaryan, president of UNIMA-Armenia.
From the very outset, the initiative was endorsed and supported by the Open Society Institute Assistance Foundation – Armenia, which by tradition sponsors the Festival within the framework of its projects targeted at fostering sustainable art sector in Armenia’s regions, and promoting cultural diversity. Among other sponsors, contributors and supporters of the Festival are Mrs. Bella Kocharian, ex-First Lady of Armenia, the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and Minister Mrs. Hasmik Poghossian personally, Yerevan Center District Community Hall, the Lori Regional Authorities, “Grand Candy”, “ZIGZAG”, “Kilikia”, “Uniplast” companies, Jinishian Memorial Foundation, VivaCell-MTS, Austrian Airlines, Armavia and others.
Puppet artists from about more than 10 countries - Slovenia, Slovakia, Georgia, Belgium, Hungary, Czech republic, Germany, Iran, Denmark, Algeria and Armenia- attended this event. Jacques Trudeau, The General Secretary of UNIMA, Ronny Albrecht from UNIMA-Belgium, Robert Walti from UNIMA-Slovenia, Barbara Scheel from UNIMA-Germany and  Meddah Sid-Ahmed from UNIMA-Algeria and… were the festival guests.
Salma Mohseni from UNIMA-Iran (MOBARAK UNIMA) and Agrin Puppet Theatre Group with the show named 'Station' directed by Sargol Eslamian, attended the festival as well.
